Installation at the Art Gallery of Ontario

Congratulations to Maru Aponte on the completion of her residency at the Art Gallery of Ontario, culminating in her poetic and expansive installation, In The Sea is a House.

Made in collaboration with AGO youth workshops as part of her residency, Aponte reimagines familiar landscapes through the folds, tears, and textures of paper, inviting us to consider how memory can be reshaped through materiality.
