For NADA Miami 2019, Towards is pleased to present a two-person booth featuring new work by Azza El Siddique and Laura Piasta.
Azza El Siddique (b. 1984, Khartoum) received an MFA from Yale University School of Art in 2019 and a BFA from Ontario College of Art and Design University in 2014. She was a resident at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Summer of 2019. In March of 2020 she will be included in a group exhibition at the Gardiner Museum in Toronto, and in April 2020 will open at show at Towards Gallery.
Laura Piasta (b. 1981, Burnaby, Canada) is a Vancouver-based artist whose practice explores the agency of objects through a conceptually driven exploration of materials. She received an MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts, Umeå, Sweden, in 2012 and a BFA from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2006.
